Funerals and Memorial Services
I came that you may have life—and have it abundantly. (John 10:10)
The funeral and memorial services at the Congregational Church of Grafton are a Time of Remembrance and Thanksgiving to offer comfort to family members and friends who have lost one whom they loved. This sacred time honors the story of life and the journey of faith of the one who has died. The vivid recollection of the spirit and the gifts of the loved one fortifies this truth: Gratitude is the heart's memory.

Service of Remembrance and Thanksgiving

Our Congregational church funerals or memorial services may be held either in our peaceful sanctuary or at the chosen graveside. The Time of Remembrance and Thanksgiving is planned in collaboration with our Pastor, Rev. Dr. Barbara Therese, and family members in meetings and conversations that precede the service.

Music of Remembrance and Thanksgiving

Music to accompany the Time of Remembrance and Thanksgiving affirms that “love always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never ends.” (1 Corinthians 13:7-8) Musical selections are planned in coordination with our Church Music Director, Mr. Ron Sainio.
